Omschrijving

This LED marker light from the Fristom MV-1400 serie is designed for 12-24 V installations and has a white light colour. The model features a reflector function only, making it suitable for visibility applications on vehicles within various transport and logistics sectors. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and offer solid protection against external influences. With an IP value of IP67 and certification according to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7, this marker light meets common technical and legal requirements. The unit has dimensions of 120x67x18 mm and features a 50 cm cable length with a 1.5mm² connector for reliable connection. Mounting is via surface mounting, which simplifies integration on existing vehicle surfaces. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
