This LED marker light from Horpol s MV-2100 serie is designed for surface mounting on vehicles operating within a voltage range of 12-24 V. With the compact size of 134 x 27 x 14.5 mm and a cable length of 50 cm, this marker light offers discreet but functional placement on semi-trailers, commercial vehicles or semi-trailers. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to mechanical resistance and long life. The reflector function is integrated, providing extra visibility without additional components. The IP68 protection rating and certifications CE, ECE R10 and ECE R7 underline its suitability for professional use in a variety of weather conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
