Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-600 serie comes in the light colour white and is suitable for voltages of 12-24 V. Thanks to the robust polycarbonate housing and lens construction, the unit offers mechanical resistance in various conditions. With a compact size of 110x75x35 mm and surface mounting, it can be used on a variety of vehicles, including semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and semi-trailers. The marker lights have an integrated reflector and come with a 50 cm cable with open wire end. The IP classification WATERPROOF combined with certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 makes this product suitable for use in vehicles requiring regulatory approval. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
