Omschrijving

This LED marker light from the Fristom MV-1200 serie is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to the use of white LEDs combined with an integrated reflector function, it contributes to improved visibility and vehicle marking. Its dimensions of 125x60x24 mm make it suitable for surface mounting in a variety of applications, such as semi-trailers, agricultural vehicles and commercial vehicles. The housing and lens are both made of polycarbonate, making the marker light suitable for intensive use. The 1.5mm² connector and 50 cm cable offer installation flexibility under various conditions. This product is certified to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 standards. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
