Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-2400 serie has been developed for use as LED marker lights on vehicles operating within a voltage range of 12-24 V. This model combines a reflector function with a white light colour, suitable for mounting on the front of vehicles. Its polycarbonate and rubber housing makes it resistant to external influences, with compact dimensions of 120 x 27.7 x 12.8 mm for flexible mounting on different vehicle types. Thanks to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 certifications, this LED marker light complies with relevant regulations for vehicle installations. Installation can be either flush mounting or surface mounting, and a simple electrical connection is possible via the open wire end with 15 cm cable. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
