The Fristom MB-2000 serie LED side marker lights are designed for mounting on trucks, semi-trailers and other heavy vehicles. This model combines an amber-coloured and red light colour and fulfils the function of rear marker lights. Thanks to its robust rubber housing, this side marker light is suitable for demanding applications in various weather conditions. Surface mounting and the 45cm long cable with open wire end offer installation flexibility. The side marker light is compatible with 12-24V on-board systems and has CE, ECE R10 and ECE R148 certifications. The IP designation "WATERPROOF" indicates that this product is designed for use in damp or wet environments, although the exact IP value is not specified. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
