This MB-8000 serie series LED side marker light from WAŚ Sp. z o.o. is designed for mounting on the left side of vehicles in the 12-24 V segment. With dimensions of 185 x 145.5 x 58 mm and an open wire end with 40 cm cable length, this model allows easy surface mounting. The light provides all-round lighting in red, white and amber, depending on the direction of view. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the product is completely dust- and waterproof. It features CE marking and complies with ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 directives for electromagnetic compatibility and lighting design. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
