Part of the MB-8000 serie, the WAŚ Sp. z o.o. MB-8202RWA-I is an LED side marker light designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its robust surface-mounting and IP68 rating, this light is suitable for applications in demanding environments. With a red, white and amber coloured light image, this side marker light gives clear visibility all around in three directions. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 40 cm. This LED side marker light features CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 certifications. Its dimensions are 185 x 145.5 x 58 mm, making the light well suited to a variety of vehicle types. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
