This LED side marker light from the 1004-serie from LED Autolamps features a combined red and white light colour and is designed for positioning on the left side of vehicles. Suitable for both 12 V and 24 V installations, its surface mounting and open wire end with 20 cm cables ensure easy connection. With a robust, highly flexible rubber housing and acrylic lens, this light withstands harsh conditions and is suitable for long-term use. Thanks to its IP67 rating, the side marker lights are completely dust-proof and protected against temporary immersion in water. CE, ECE R10 and ECE R7 certifications confirm compliance with relevant regulations for electromagnetic compatibility and vehicle lighting. This LED side marker light is equipped with the function: rear marker light. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
