Omschrijving

The TRALERT® 140-serie is a round LED rear light solution with a housing made of ABS and an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens. This LED rear light combines the functions: reversing lights and reflector. Its dimensions are ø140 x 100 mm and surface mounting makes installation accessible on various vehicle types. Thanks to the slide connectors, the rear light is easy to connect without separate cables. The product is suitable for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V and is certified to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R23. The high protection rating IP67 provides protection against dust and temporary immersion in water, ensuring reliable operation in a variety of weather conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
