The VIGILED II Ecco serie from ECCO ESG includes compact LED warning lights suitable for a variety of applications on commercial vehicles. Designed for 12-24 V installations, this LED warning light features an open wire end with a 20 cm cable. Thanks to the aluminium housing and a polycarbonate lens, the product is mechanically resistant to external influences. Dimensions are 73x74x31 mm, and the unit is suitable for surface mounting. The LED warning light comes with protection class IP67 and meets CE and ECE-R10 certifications, making it usable in professional environments where electromagnetic compatibility is required. This warning light can be mounted with or without the mounting bracket, depending on the availability of a suitable mounting surface. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
