This LED rear light unit from the 81-serie by LED Autolamps is suitable for applications on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The compact square design of 81x81x24 mm is made of polycarbonate and suitable for surface mounting. The lens and housing are made of impact-resistant material, which contributes to durability under intensive conditions. This LED rear light combines the functions: rear light and brake light. The reflector is integrated in the design. Connection is via an open wire end with 30 cm cable. The unit is dust- and waterproof to IP67 and meets CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 certifications. Plus points of this series: - Compact square design with rounded corners - Several variants with other light functions available in the same style

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
