These LED rear lights from the 235-serie by LED Autolamps are designed for a recessed application and suitable for vehicles with a 12 V voltage range. This model combines the functions: rear lights and brake lights. In addition, a reflector is integrated, in line with visibility and road safety requirements. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 237x25x16 mm and elongated shape, this model is suitable for applications with limited installation space. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate. Its IP67 classification makes the rear light unit resistant to dust and temporary immersion. The lighting element features an open wire end with 40 cm cable and complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R148 — unified signalling lamp regulation.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
