The TRALERT® ZL600 serie includes this compact LED beacon with DIN plug-in mounting and housing made of polycarbonate. Its IP67 rating makes this flashing light resistant to dust and temporary immersion, increasing its usability in a variety of vehicle applications. The unit meets CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R65 standards, making it suitable for professional use in situations where visual signalling is required. The combination of an amber-coloured LED and lens makes this LED beacon recognisable under various conditions. The switchable function between rotating and flashing patterns offers additional flexibility in warning applications. Designed for 12-24 V systems and featuring a robust construction, the flashing light is designed for long-term deployment under varying conditions. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
