The Truck-Lite 785-serie includes these LED rear lights, suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This model combines the functions: rear light, brake light and indicator. Thanks to the robust polycarbonate housing and lens, the product can withstand harsh conditions. Mounting is via a surface-mounted system with open wire end connection, offering flexibility in installation. With a light output of 800 lm and a compact size of 210x50x20 mm, this LED rear light unit is suitable for application at the rear of various commercial vehicles and semi-trailers. Protection against ingress of dust and water is defined by the IP69K classification. Furthermore, the product meets the requirements of CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3, ECE-R6, ECE-R7 and ADR, confirming its wide applicability in regulated transport environments. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
