Omschrijving

Designed for use on vehicles within the 12-24 V range, this LED beacon from Fristom s ZL500 serie is mounted via a DIN plug. With a robust polycarbonate construction for both housing and lens, this beacon is suitable for professional use even in harsh conditions. Protection against water and dust is certified IP68. In addition, this model complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R65 directives. The round housing has a diameter of 145 mm and a height of 204 mm. This LED beacon is available in various light patterns, including rotating, single and double flashing, allowing you to tailor it to your desired visibility and application. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
