Omschrijving

The ECCO ESG 400 R65 Ecco serie consists of robust LED beacons suitable for vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12-24 V. This model is designed for 1-bolt mounting and features a flexible bracket for extra durability under intensive conditions. Thanks to its polycarbonate housing and lens, the beacon is resistant to impacts and external influences. This LED beacon delivers a 360-degree warning signal and is certified according to CE, ECE R10 and ECE R65 guidelines. The IP65 rating indicates that the product is protected against dust and water jets. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 45 cm. The compact dimensions of ø134 x 165mm make this model suitable for a variety of applications on commercial vehicles, emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
