Omschrijving

The ECCO ESG EB5100 Ecco serie includes this LED beacon with compact design and flexible applicability for vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12-24 V. Thanks to the magnetic mounting and 300 cm long cable with cigarette lighter connector, the product is easy to install temporarily or relocate on suitable vehicles. The flashing light has a robust aluminium housing and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens. The product meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R65 and CISPR25 Class 3. With a protection class of IP69K, this LED beacon is resistant to dust and high-pressure cleaning, which increases reliability in demanding working conditions. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
