The ECCO ESG EB5100 Ecco serie is an LED beacon designed for professional applications on vehicles within a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its compact design and attachment via DIN plug-in mounting, this beacon can be used on a variety of work vehicles in transport, agriculture and emergency services, among others. The housing is made of robust aluminium with an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, contributing to mechanical durability under harsh conditions. This LED beacon meets IP69K requirements and is certified to CE, ECE R10, ECE R65 and CISPR 25 Class 3, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and water and dust resistance. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
