The ECCO ESG EB5100 Ecco serie has been developed for professional vehicle applications where visibility and durability are essential. Suitable for 12-24 V electrical systems, this LED beacon is mounted via a DIN plug. The housing is made of aluminium, combined with an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, which increases resistance to mechanical stress and weathering. With dimensions of ø148 x 172 mm and a compact design, this model can be used in a variety of installations, even with limited installation space.The LED beacon is CE, ECE R10 and ECE R65 certified, and complies with CISPR25 Class 3.With a protection rating of IP69K, this beacon is resistant to high-pressure and steam cleaning, making it suitable for use in demanding environments such as on construction sites, in agriculture or in industrial applications. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
