ECE R48 — où chaque feu d’un véhicule doit se trouver.
Le R48 est le règlement maître d’installation. Il définit quels feux sont obligatoires, lesquels sont optionnels, où ils peuvent être montés, et comment ils doivent commuter. Les règlements individuels (R7 pour position, R87 pour DRL, R65 pour gyrophares) certifient le feu lui-même. Le R48 certifie le véhicule sur lequel les feux sont montés.

Le R148 remplace et unifie l’ensemble disparate des anciens règlements (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) en une seule norme consolidée pour les feux de signalisation. Il est entré en vigueur pour les nouvelles homologations de type véhicule en septembre 2023, avec application obligatoire intégrale d’ici 2027. Ce qui était auparavant sept règlements couvrant clignotants, feux de position, feux de recul, feux de stationnement, feux de gabarit, feux de jour et feux latéraux est désormais un seul document.
